1974

From a humble beginning, Contractors Wardrobe® opens its doors in its first 1,700 square foot space in Van Nuys, California in a purple aluminum building as seen here offering its first product of Mirrored Wardrobe Doors

1976

Contractors Wardrobe® moves to Chatsworth, California, giving them 15,000 square feet to work in, which they quickly outgrow and subsequently leases another 8,600 square feet to warehouse raw materials.

1985

Contractors Wardrobe® purchases and moves into a 60,000 square foot facility in Valencia, California and within five years outgrows that facility.

1990

Business grows and another move is necessary.  This time they double their facility size and move once again in Valencia, California to a 121,000 square foot building.

1993

Contractors Wardrobe® sees a clear opportunity to enlarge its product line even further and introduces its extensive Shower Enclosure line.

1999

Contractors Wardrobe® expands its operations into Sacramento, California, and purchases a 49,000 square foot building.

2000

The Klöpper Mirror Conveyor is the world's finest and is state-of-the-art in cutting edge technology. It is over 560 feet long (almost two football fields long) and is the fastest and most modern mirror conveyor on the North and South American continents. As a result, Cw® enters the world of producing Duraflect® Copper-Free Mirror, a patented process and was the first in the United States to manufacture Copper-Free Mirror.

2002

Running out of warehouse and raw material space, Contractors Wardrobe® purchases a building adjacent to its Sacramento facility (pictured left), giving them another 43,500 square feet of space, that now totals over 92,500 square feet in Northern California.

Later that year, to continue on their path of vertical integration they purchased an 81,000 square foot building in Valencia (right) to house its glass processing center that includes cutting, fabrication and tempering of their Duratuf™ Tempered Safety Glass.

2003

Contractors Wardrobe® once again expands its processes by purchasing a 35,000 square foot facility in Las Vegas, Nevada to better serve its ever-growing customer base.

2005

Contractors Wardrobe® purchases a 53,300 square foot building in Valencia, California to accommodate their Customer Service Department.

2006

Contractors Wardrobe® expands its footprint of a 12,400 square foot buliding in Phoenix, Arizona, by purchasing a 99,200 square foot "build to suit" building located in Tempe, Arizona.

Later that year they open the vertical integration door of opportunity and begin roll forming shapes. Cw® starts fabricating and tempering glass for use in a variety of applications: shower enclosures, storefronts, railing systems, sliding glass doors and more.

2007

Contractors Wardrobe® introduces Room Partitions and Loft Dividers (pictured left) while opening its doors in the state of Florida to service more customers, making Cw® a coast-to-coast company (pictured right: Pompano Beach, Florida).

2008

Contractors Wardrobe® sees a need in the marketplace for Heavy Glass Shower Enclosures (pictured left).  Hence it made its offering and continues to grow in this area.

Later that year the company refines, completes and presents its Cabinet Door line (pictured right).

2009

Contractors Wardrobe®'s recent opportunity offers Painted Glass for Back Splashes, Cabinet Doors, Room Partitions and Loft Dividers, Counter Tops, Wardrobe Doors to name a few. We have over 3,500 Pantone® colors to choose from, plus we have the ability to custom match your color

2010

Contractors Wardrobe® incorporates its own glass protection treatment process called CwShield™ Protective Coating, which is factory-applied on both sides of the glass.

2011

During 2011 a newly-designed top and bottom interior pivot door was launched to expand their interior wardrobe door offering. This new design is perfect for residential applications as well as multi-family and hospitality projects.

2012

Contractors Wardrobe® expands the factory-applied CwShield™ Protective Coating product with the introduction of two new products to be used at home. The CwShield™ Revitalization Kit helps maintain the original "just applied" condition.
